Bret Vanderburg

Bret Vanderburg is a professional upright and electric bass player with an impressive studio and live performance portfolio. Born in Canada, he studied Jazz at Humber College under Pat LeBarbera, Mike Farquharson, and Charles Toliver. He has played for John Raitt, Maureen McGovern, Buddy Greco, and Frank Gorshin, to name a few, and has been involved in many studio recordings ­ from hip-hop to jazz fusion.

His performance activity includes involvement with numerous cruise ship tours, cabarets, bands, pantomimes and television appearances. More recently, Bret has began to pursue opportunities to work in the composition and production of music for film and television.

Becoming a Christian at the early age of 13, Bret worked with YWAM Amsterdam for 2 years and is keen to use music in evangelistic and worship contexts. He is married to Pippa, has 2 children and lives in Woking.
