Jazz
Pianist
Paul English
is well-known as an outstanding jazz pianist
who has performed and recorded with such greats as
Dizzy Gillespie, Arnett Cobb, David Liebman, Fathead
Newman, Will Kennedy and John Patitucci. Alumni of
the high-spirited Paul English Group of the 1980s
included Kirk Whalum, Dwight Sills, Tony Campise,
Herman Matthews and Hal Robinson.
Paul's
catalog of compositions includes a large number of
jazz and popular songs, scores for two musicals, and
a complete library for his performing group, PICO.
As an
outstanding jazz educator he has lectured
extensively on jazz theory and techniques for
improvisation in modern music and is a frequent
guest speaker at other universities and music

Saxophonist/Composer
Gary Honor
is a member of the well known worship team at
Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia where he plays
regularly. Gary has recorded on and written brass
arrangements for numerous praise and worship CD’s
for Hillsong Church.
Over the
past few years Gary has traveled all over Australia
performing in every major city. He has also been a
featured soloist with the Navy Big Band and Wind
Orchestra and has played music in many international
destinations such as Greece, Crete, Japan, China,
Philippines, Guam and also Norfolk Island.
While
studying jazz at Queensland Conservatorium of Music
Gary became very aware of the spiritual aspects of
music and soon realized that his music was a gift
from the Creator!
Gary's

Saxophonist
Brian Ulrich
was
born in Rochester, NY where his love for music was
formed and remains with him today. Brian studied
music performance at the Houchstein School of Music,
and jazz theory under Chuck Mangione at the Eastman
School of Music in Rochester.
Fluent
on saxophone, clarinet and flute, Brian toured
Europe with the American Symphony and Chorus and has
performed with Chuck Mangione, The Eddie Love Big
Band, The Rochester Philharmonic, The
Gainesville Symphony, The KBS Trio, High Society,
Sentimental Journey, The Victory Jazz Orchestra, and
numerous show orchestras.
With a
strong commitment to community, Brian also performs
many hours at area nursing homes and churches, as
well as performs for charity fund-raisers. For more

Jazz Pianist
Juanita Faas
hails
from Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada. She
started performing with bands in her teen years.
Juanita's talent won her a music scholarship to
Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.
After graduating Juanita, always looking for
something new and challenging entered the jazz field
and was soon playing keyboards with the Lyle Rebbeck
Jazz Trio.
Juanita
has a new CD release, "Attitudes". Juanita and her
trio continue to explore the crossover territory
between jazz and gospel music, while adding many of
their own unique turns and twists. For more info

SpiritJazz
is a
group that combines the elements essential for
modern jazz with the best hymns of the Christian
tradition. The result is a large repertoire of songs
that are represented here on this recording, and
played regularly at churches.
Tom
Pieper plays bass and Karen Pieper plays piano. They
work together to create their own unique jazz
arrangements of hymns and songs... performed with
energy, passion, and humor.
The
music of SpiritJazz
is
modern in its truest form but its melodies are
derived from familiar songs and hymns that have
stood the test of time. It is their mission that the
music of SpiritJazz unites the richness of jazz with
the hope and promise of faith in order to enhance

Vocalist
Beth Duncan
Chances
are you've heard Beth Duncan on the radio or seen
her on TV. Beth is an award winning broadcast
journalist who's been reporting news and traffic
information for more than 25 years in Sacramento,
California.
She studied with prestigious
Vocal Coach Judy Davis in Berkeley for several
years. Beth made a living singing cover tunes in
local clubs along with engagements on the road.
Beth
shares that, "the Jazz standards on her new CD
release, "Orange Colored Sky" are a perfect fit for
what I want to express about passion, enduring love,
faithfulness & thankfulness. I have a huge heart for
